Day 29  - 13/8/09  - Wednesday

Breakfast. The hotel staff have finally stopped taking our plates and returning with 4 bits of toast when we ask for more, instead bringing out toast by the basket full! With help I finish the kit check started in Moshi and pack all the group kit for travel back to England. The day is filled with more general lazing around, a little making things from sand on the beach. And one last swim in the Indian Ocean. Late afternoon is largely filled with repacking all our stuff plus souvenirs into the same space that was filled without souvenirs. Food. We have around 2 litre of meths left, so being boys (and having Geoff with us) we have some fun with it. The initial plan was to pour a little meths onto a some sand in our hands and set fire to it.. this proves unwise. A little thought and some coconut shells are acquired, sand and some meths is added, this proves to be much safer, and produces some quite cool photos. This leaves a fair bit of a bit of meths, so we pour it in a wide ring around Geoff who's sitting in a 'spiritual' pose, if it hadn't evaporated quite so quickly it would have been more impressive. We are bored so drop a lighted match into the container with the last drips of meths , this ignites the remaining vapours, producing a very short lived but impressive flame which singes Geoff's hair! Bed.
