Day 3  - 18/7/2003  - Friday

Up and on the move early, (breakfast is bread and butter). Off to the bus station, crazy place seems to be more touts than passengers! Onto the bus around 8 am, the bus waits until its full, we left around 10 am! Long, hot and uncomfortable bus journey, through the plains and farm land to start with ( banana, maize and yucca, for the flower stems which are used for building). Followed a mountain ridge for around 200km, wedged in the front by about 10 people standing in the door way of the bus! A disconcerting speedo that always read zero! We arrived in Moshi around 6 pm Nash was sick down my leg, which was nice! There was some confusion about what were meant to do next, so while we go and eat the bloke from Ashanti tours gets in touch with Will Woodstock (the world challenge rep). We're to stay in town for the night and move to the school tomorrow, after getting materials and provisions. Stayed in a very cheep ($13 for 15 people) hotel with lots of "character"!! But a major lack of weather proof walls, windows, and or roof. Its called the Cappuccino and in the UK it would be condemned!! Played Uno with the owners son! Slept!
